The project aims at developing new numerical techniques for lattice Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). We focus on problems where confined gluons play a prominent role such as glueballs and excitations of charmonium and heavy-light systems. New techniques are needed to reduce the numerical cost due to the severe statistical fluctuations which arise in Monte Carlo calculations. To reach its goals, the project combines the expertise of lattice QCD physicists and numerical analysts. Find more details about our research here...
